November 20, 2018 – We are now knee deep in the holiday season which inevitably means some traveling. While we are grateful for the winter moisture and beautiful snowy scenery, these cold winter storms always seem to come around when it is time to get on the road and head out for a holiday event.
With that in mind, there are several things you can do to prepare for traveling in bad weather. Probably the most important thing is to have your vehicle properly maintained and packed with a few essentials. Keeping some water, warm clothes, a flashlight and a phone charger in the vehicle is always a good idea. It’s important to let someone know your travel plans as well. And, of course, if you know ahead of time that the roads are going to be icy and treacherous, best to just stay home and watch a good western! For more travel safety tips, click here.
We at Johnson Land & Home wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
