“Diplomacy is the art of letting someone else have your way.” – Sir David Frost
To walk a mile in another’s moccasins… my father was from the depression era and a MASTER negotiator. Growing up and throughout most of my adult life, when I was dealing with a challenging issue that involved people, he would remind me to, “walk a mile in that man’s moccasins before you make any decision”. The perspective, insight, and ultimately the advantage that’s gained from seeing the transaction through the other person’s eyes has proven to be invaluable in negotiating the interests of our clients. Though no one will fight harder to protect those interests, we also believe strongly that the best transaction is the “win-win” transaction.
